The Pacific Northwest Hatchery Reform Project, with its independent Hatchery Scientific Review Group (HSRG), reviewed existing hatcheries and developed comprehensive reform recommendations to improve hatcheries’ role in meeting harvest and conservation goals for Pacific Northwest salmon and steelhead.
In 2021, the Hatchery Reform Project completed its work and migrated its website content, final reports, supporting documents, and HSRG tools to StreamNet. StreamNet provides public access to this information, which informs decisions and work implemented in the Pacific Northwest by tribes, states, and federal agencies, including National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries, Bonneville Power Administration, and Northwest Power and Conservation Council.
