Icon for Current HLI Categories webpageThe Coordinated Assessments Partnership (CAP) currently exchanges High Level Indicator (HLI) estimates for the below salmon and steelhead species and populations.

The CAP also contains HLI estimates for superpopulations, which are estimates representing multiple populations. These superpopulations are not shown in the list below, but they are in the downloadable spreadsheet.

Many of the populations are part of Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) listings and have identifying information as defined in the Federal Register Notices. NOAA Fisheries, or National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), is the regulatory agency for anadromous fishes listed under the ESA. CAP and StreamNet endeavor to display information consistent to listing, per NOAA Fisheries. For non-listed populations, please see the Fish Management Unit Boundaries and Attributes information on the Standards and Processes page.

The column headings in the below table refer to:

PopID: StreamNet code for the population of fish.

RecoveryDomain: Name of the “recovery domain,” as defined by NOAA Fisheries, in which the population falls geographically.

ESU_DPS: For ESA-listed populations, the Evolutionarily Significant Unit / Distinct Population Segment, as defined by NOAA Fisheries.

MajorPopGroup:  “Major population group” or “stratum” (defined by NMFS), in which the population falls.

PopulationName: Population name used by StreamNet.

ESAPopName: Population name used by NMFS.
